AJA Video Systems R20AD analog-to-digital video converter card (encoder) for AJA R20 series rack frames. The R20AD converts analog component, composite or Y/C (S-Video) video to 10-bit SD-SDI. That makes it a reliable way to bring legacy analog sources such as Betacam decks, cameras, switchers and monitors into a digital broadcast or post-production SDI workflow. It detects NTSC/PAL automatically and uses an adaptive comb filter for clean composite decoding. Video format, AGC, blanking and pedestal are all user-configurable. Front-edge status LEDs show bank, 525/625, auto and input configuration. The card has two on-board connectors for AJA’s optional FSG frame synchronizer daughter card, which isn’t installed.
